COLLAB'

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What colour do you use for your hair?

Currently I am using Schwarzkopf LIVE colour XXL Red Passion. Prior to this my hairdresser coloured my hair for me using a brand called Matrix. She used a mix of brown and red to achieve a vibrant shade. Naturally my hair is a mousey brown but over the years, the red has progressively lightened my base colour.

How do you keep your red hair vibrant?

With my current colour, I’ll use LIVE colour XXL Ultra Brights as a mid-term top-up to maintain vibrancy. Asides from that, I’ll wash it as little as possible - dry shampoo is my best friend!

How often do you colour your hair?

After 5-6 weeks my root re-growth will be pretty substantial so I’ll always have it topped up around then.

What do you ask for when you have it cut?

I like my fringe (/bangs) to sit just above my eyebrows bluntly, the cut itself is grown out gradient bob with minimal layering to achieve a more severe look.

What camera do you use to take your blog photo’s?

All my blog photos are currently taken on the Olympus PEN E-PL7, with either the pancake lens or the 45mm.

What camera do you use to film your videos?

A Canon EOS 600D with a 50mm lens, currently edited on iMovie.

Should I start a blog? How did you start?

Yes. Absolutely start a blog. It’s the best thing I ever did. How? Trial and error. I simply set up with a free template on blogger and went from there. The best advice I can give is to be completely and utterly true to yourself. What do you want to say? What do you want to share? As long as you’re passionate about what you’re writing, you’ll be on to a winner.

Are you a full-time blogger?

Yep. You can read more about me ‘taking the leap’ here. It’s a relatively new change, but so far so good!

Why do you blog?

Because how amazing is the world we live in? That we can have our own little corner of the internet to do whatever the hell we like?

How did you get rid of your acne?

I’ve filmed a few videos on the process, that you can watch here and here. I also went in to great detail within these posts, courthouse clinics basically saved my skin - so it’s definitely worth reading/watching if you want to know more.

Hey, I’m Megs a 26 year old who blogs full-time (ooh-err) and doesn't live in London (eek). And guys, I really, really love this part of my life.

I write about my personal style, a little bit of beauty, where I travel (not often, but with hungry eyes) and matters of the heart.

Adventure, whether that be through fashion or relationships. Learnings, from how those jeans just didn't suit me, to growing up and talking about how important it is to look after our vagina’s.

Yes, I did just say vagina.

This space, has always just been about a girl growing in to the woman she didn't know she could be.

I was the girl who never knew what she wanted to do with her career; I didn't go to University because basically, I had zero clue what I wanted to get myself in £30,000 worth of debt for and wasn't much for the party scene. With that being said, I worked my little tooshie off in full-time employment from the age of 18 - and when I turned 23 I started up this blog (and my YouTube channel) as a hobby on the side of working within an interior design company. It was the first time I’d enjoyed doing pretty much anything for myself and the happiness that publishing a post brought me - and still does - meant that I invested all of my spare time making it something I was proud of.

The rest is displayed all over this corner of the web for you to discover at your leisure.

However, the very best place to reach me for instant LOL’s is , because, well, it’s where all of us bloggers live, don’t you know.

Wonderful You has allowed me opportunities I couldn’t have imagined. I’ve found a place in the world where I feel like I can be truly myself and that’s the biggest reward I could've ever hoped for. But it’s also allowed me to celebrate ridiculously cool achievements like these, too: Features in print (including Grazia, Style and Professional Photographer), being awarded Best Fashion Blog Newcomer and shortlisted for Best Established Fashion Blog, starring in Schwarzkopf’s LIVE Lookbook Social Media Campaign and TV commercial, live interviews on local radio and collaborations with some of my favourite brands.

One of the best parts of this industry is the incredible, like-minded people it introduces you too. I work with some of my best gal pals, to create fresh and (hopefully) inspiring content.

Alexandra Cameron Photography: If you're looking for someone to capture life in the most beautiful way look no further. Each one of Alex’s images tell a story so deliciously and I’m lucky enough to collaborate on projects with her from time to time.
