Back to the Beginning.

Dress: Urban Outfitters. Dr Martens: *. Bag & Headscarve: . Necklaces: & .
I'd fallen out of love with my style posts. The effort of even washing my face seemed like it would require every single muscle in my body - and quite frankly that was one too many.

I'd gotten myself in this rut of simply getting dressed to take photos, instead of living and potentially documenting that via photography. And that's no fun at all.

More and more I feel my blog is becoming a place for IRL (in real life) moments. The ones that help build and shape us as individuals. (Hold up, I'm not preaching I'm some kind of life guru, just sayin' - I want to write about what matters, to me).

I'll still be sharing my wardrobe with you guys, because, it's my passion. But I don't want it to be a chore - I want to have fun, start living a little more and enjoying this wonderful world we live in.

So here it is. Me remembering why I started this blog, in an outfit that I've not taken off since I bought it. Quite possibly the most effortless dress I own, picked up in the Urban Outfitters (always fabulous) sale - it needs no description.
For forever and a day I've wanted a pair of - but none have screamed out to me. Not until these, what can only be described as Jesus sandals, appeared on the internet. It's safe to say they've completed my life and are stonkingly comfortable - contrary to popular belief.

Oh, and when you can't be arsed with washing your hair - beautiful headscarves are the answer, obv.

What I Wore | All Black, Everything

Hat: Ark Clothing (similar here). Skirt: Urban Outfitters (Similar here). High Neck Jumper: River Island. Boots: My Dress Room
Last weekend was a happy weekend. I traveled down to Surrey to see Zoe in her new pad - we are two peas in a pod, so are naturally both sloth like in nature. We spent the entire weekend relaxing, eating, sleeping and of course, a bit of blogging! It was so lovely to see her and before I headed off home I thought I’d seize the opportunity of taking a few outfit snaps in her beautiful area.

It made me realise that we've been in our home for 8 months now, which just seems crazy! Soon, we'll be thinking about finally buying it and with property sales on the rise it's something we're very keen to do! I'm quite lucky that Daniel is clued up on these things as it scares me a little, but renting before buying our home was definitely the right option for us. If you'd like to see a post with a little more detail on that, then do let me know :)

I did a bit of sale shopping recently (you can see my video featuring everything I bought ) and I picked up this skirt from Urban Outfitters - which can I just say I'm completely in love with? However, after posting my video I was shocked to learn that not many of you fashionistas stop by to check out their sales?! UO is renowned for being quite pricey, which I know can put people off - however their sales are THE BOMB. I don't know any other that competes if I'm honest and all of the items are incredible, mostly available in a variety of sizes and are SO affordable. For example, this skirt was £40 originally and I picked it up for £15, which I definitely don't mind paying. So, if you haven't already, make sure you add Urban Outfitters to your sale shopping list, because they kick the other high street brands butts.

That's all.

PS. I love black I.D.S.T

They Call it Madness (& rightly so)

Leather front jumper: c/o Triple S Clothing. Leggings: Topshop (similar here). Boots: Urban Outfitters.
A few weeks ago now my family, Daniel and I went to see Madness in concert – I know they’re not everyone’s cup of tea, but they’re my dad’s absolute favourite and growing up listening to their music means I ruddy love them too.

It followed a week where we had had the worst possible weather ever and with the venue being outside we were pretty sure it was going to be awful. But somehow the sun shined all day and the evening was warm and lovely (thank you England). I wasn’t really sure what to wear you know me, I get cold if someone even speaks the word ‘outside’, but I also knew I would be bouncing around dancing with my dad so I didn’t want to be dressed in my thermals.

In the end I opted for this outfit. I whacked some tights on underneath my leggings and thought a ¾ length jumper would be a smart option so that I wasn’t baking hot, but still had some warmth. I’m seeing pleather jumpers everywhere I look at the moment and have to say I’m really quite taken to them. It’s a little bit different but I like the extra detailing it brings to a simple item of clothing and the woollen sleeves are super cosy.

PS. Madness were amazing – obv.

Style Challenge with ASOS & Urban Outfitters | How to Style a Denim Jacket - 5 Ways!

Denim Jacket: c/o Urban Outfitters & ASOS. Bag: Urban Outfitters. Top: Mums undies! Disco Pants: American Apparel. Boots: TK Maxx
I had an email come through a few weeks ago from one of the lovely ladies at ASOS Fashion Finder HQ asking if I’d like to participate in their . After picking my jaw up from the floor and doing a celebratory dance around my room I of course replied and said ‘yes please!’

The feature was to style a piece from Urban Outfitters vintage collection in 5 different ways. I chose this beast of a denim jacket and the task was actually much harder than I had first anticipated, but I gave it my best and you can .

I thought I would share my favourite of the 5 styles in a full outfit post – y’know give that jacket the recognition it deserves. When I picked the jacket off the website I wasn’t aware that the sizes came up big and went for a small. When it arrived and would quite clearly fit a grown 6ft man I panicked – but when I slipped it on I absolutely fell in love. I think it goes to show that you never know with fashion and that’s why it’s so fun to take risks, because sometimes they can pay off (well, I hope it has anyway!)

I hadn’t pulled my disco pants out for a while so teemed with my mum’s old underwear (who would wear this top as undies can I just ask?), my velvet ankle boots and Aztec backpack I’m quite enjoying the grungy, biker girl feel.

I’d really love to know what you think of the and which one is your favourite :)

Do you own a denim jacket? How do you style yours?

Ombrelicious

Jumper: c/o The Hut. Boots: Urban Outfitters. Hat: Topshop.

I’m not the girl who has embraced the ombre hairstyle – I think it looks great on other people but for me I think I’d just look a bit stupid really. However the ombre theme in every other sense of the word interests me immensely – oh how I wish I was talented enough to put together an ombre lip...alas I cannot so of course when it comes to clothes I’m all over it.

When the Hut got in contact letting me know they’re re-launching their women’s wear section ofthe website, I picked this lovely jumper out of their samples and it is literally the comfiest ever, ever. The material is so soft and well made and from the looks of the website it’s hugely affordable too. Unfortunately this jumper isn't yet available to buy but they’ve got a cheeky 20% off to celebrate the launch when you enter TREAT at checkout, so go have a gander – I’ve personally got my eye on the daisy print crop, it’s so pretty!

This weekend I'm going to Oxford to spend time with my nan :) I can't wait - I've missed her loads! What's everyone else up to?

Let it snow.

Oh, hello ridiculous weather at the end of March - what's that I hear the public say 'there was a heatwave this time last year'? Oh sod it, who actually cares? Let's just embrace the fact that we can make snowmen and perhaps have a day or two in the house getting bits and bobs done. And also, let's appreciate the fact that it makes your garden look very pretty indeedy and perfect for a spot of outfit snapping.

Blazer: Zara. Dress: Topshop. Hat: Accessorize. Belt: Primark. Shoes: Urban Outfitters. Lips: Urban Decay Theodora
I love the winter, and I love wearing my big jumpers and leggings but sometimes (and I really mean sometimes) it's quite lovely to find a dress that actually keeps you warm in these colder months but still looks pretty and not like a sack for potatoes.
This weekend Daniel and I literally stayed in bed, watched Grand Designs and ventured out to Nando's for about an hour on Saturday (hence me actually getting ready). My Zara blazer I picked up in duty free has come in handy since I've been back from Aus and I have to say I'm rather attached to my little leopard beret.

Did you all have a good weekend? Short week this week - and mines even shorter (hehe) I've only got to work until Wednesday and then I'm off until the following Wednesday YAAAAY! Have a great week everyone :)

Fancy a Dip? Dye.

I'm quite sure that I didn't own anything tie-dye, until now. It's been a bit of a hype in the fashion community and not a band wagon that I was particularly on, so to speak. That was until I waltzed into Urban Outfitters last weekend and spotted this baby on the first rack.

The colours are just gorgeous and I love a good maxi skirt. It is literally the comfiest thing my lower half has ever had the pleasure of acquainting and I don't think I really want to take it off. Ever. It was a wee bit pricey (£40), but I had a voucher from my birthday and nothing else I spotted in the shop came close. The fabric is thick enough to keep your legs nice and toasty in the winter months, but it's also lovely and floaty (swish swish), so it doesn't cling to your things or ride up (I actually HATE that). Paired with a plain black-tee and my new hudson boots, it makes it casual enough for a lazy day outfit, although it could easily be jazzed up with some bling, if you know what I'm saying.

Skirt: Urban Outfitters. Top: H&M. Bag: Vintage. Boots: H by Hudson.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend? My beautiful nanny stayed with us this week and we spent the whole time sewing our socks off! She is literally the light of my life and I love her very much. (soppy little note there, but has to be said right?). She is always there for me and makes everything seem alright, even if it's not.

This week will mainly involve eating curry with a very special lady, and week 4 of my photography course! What have you yummy lot got planned?
