Fantastically Wonderful Advertisers | February

image c/o weheartit.com
It's that time of the month again - let me tell you a little bit about some of the amazing ladies on my sidebar...get comfy and prepare to add a few new favourites to your list!

Polka Dot Dreams
Oh my goodness, where on earth do I start with this little place of amazingness? You know when you stumble across something when you're having an etsy stalk (we all do it, don't pretend) and you so wish you could make it because it's just so perfect? That's how I felt when  I stumbled across Samantha's shop. Okay, so not only does she sell the most frickin' gorgeous felt accessories (oh my GOD have you seen the fox necklace, I nearly died), she also makes items to order so if you had something particular in mind, she's your lady. Pretty please pop on over and say Hi - I'm bowled over by the wonderfulness of her lovely shop.

Eat Play Shop Love
Okay, this lady is one of my absolute favourites. On Charlie's blog not only will you find detailed beauty reviews, hauls, get to know me posts and notd's - but you will also find a really lovely lady. I get lost in her posts and find myself smiling at the screen like a creep with her relatable writing. You won't be disappointed if you hop on over, although perhaps have a cuppa at the ready - because you'll be there a while.

Beauty Becky
I'm hoping you all know who Becky is, as she was sitting pretty on my sidebar last month too. I'm still girl crushing pretty hard to be honest - consistency seems to be key in this little ladies book. Her posts are detailed - I always find myself wanting to buy whatever it is she's writing about and one of my absolute favourite things about it is her photography. It's so clear and fantastic quality, so if you're looking for in-depth reviews with fantastic swatches look no further. What a good egg :)

Our Little Balham Life
Oh, Nicola. How can I express my love for you and your blog in a paragraph? (not possible) Honestly, when I first read Nicola's blog I knew it was meant to be. From reading just a few sentences of a blog post you feel like you know her, and to me that's what blogging is all about. Reading this blog, you'll mainly discover what it's like to live in London, what she gets up to and some frickin' awesome food recipes. Yep, go on, tell me all how much you love it too...

Beauty & Truth
Aubry is wonderful, as is her blog. She is absolutely drop dead gorgeous, and with that very, very talented. Fancy knowing how to bake some awesome cookies? Some DIY jewellery and accessories? Or perhaps a little bit of fashion? You've come to the right place. I can't help but want to be part of this ladies adventures and go round for a cup of tea and cake. Her words and beauty just make you feel right at home.

Angel's Corner
Honesty is the best policy and I feel that's 100% what you get with this lovely ladies blog. She's packed to the brim with beauty and fashion hauls, lifestyle posts and most recently FOOD ART. How cool is that? Making art from your food, has to be one of the most creative things I've heard of in a long while! I find myself constantly checking back to see if there's a new post and they're always such a pleasure to read :)

I hope you lovely lot have found a few new gems in this bunch - they're some of my absolute favourite places on the interwebs and I'm so glad I get to share them all with you! Please do let me know what you think of them! And share the love <3
Don't forget to drop me an email if you'd like to have your advertisment on my sidebar!

February Favourites

L-R: Bourjois Nail Polish Remover. Rimmel ApocalipsCetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser. MAC Woodwinked EyeshadowUrban Fudge Sea Salt SprayAlgenist Triple Action Micropeel and Polish.
Can I just be massively cliché here and say - where the HELL has February gone? This is actually mental. Life needs to slow down a little, it's going to be bloody Christmas before we know it!

So.. I haven't done a monthly favourites post in I can't remember how long. But I'm trying this thing where I become more organised in life and get things done, and it just so happens that monthly favourites is one of those things! (this month anyway haha).
There are few products in here that probably wont be too much of a shock to you beauty addicts, but I do think I've discovered a few gems too.
Do let me know what you think of the products, and if you've tried any of them :)

Mixing Prints | Outfit Post

Following on from my last outfit post I find myself constantly reaching for comfort at the moment. There’s nothing better than whacking on an outfit that you don’t need to worry about – no your tops not going to fall down and your skirt isn’t going to ride up your bum, it’s just effortless and comfortable.
Scarf: c/o Hannah Belle. Playsuit: thrifted. Jumper: factorie. Belt: Thrifted. Boots: Urban Outfitters
Although I was a little in the mood for mixing prints – is feathers, polka dots and spikes too much? I don’t think so :) I feel oddly right with all this business and feel uber relaxed with the bagginess of everything!
Throughout winter and the cooler months as we head in to Spring you will always see me sporting a scarf. For me they complete an outfit and I’m particularly fond of bold, statement scarves that bring pieces together and help a plain top stand out.  I’m pretty much in love with this little beauty sent to me by the gorgeous Hannah of Hannah Belle. You must check out her shop filled with gorgeous home bargains & this item of loveliness was only £8.50, making it a real bargain! The mix of colours and the softness means it fits my perfect scarf checklist and it’s also going to be light enough to team with little dresses when the weather starts to warm up.
My playsuit is one of my absolute favourite’s, it used to be my mum’s underwear and I just can’t understand why you would want to wear it under your clothes – it’s so pretty! I threw this jumper over the top just to keep me warm and tucked it in to my belt (also my mum’s old one) I think it’s perfect for bringing the whole outfit together.

How do you feel about clashing prints? I’d love to see some other bloggers posts on these sort of styles?

I am completely overwhelmed at the amazing response to my , there have been heaps of entries and it seems everyone wants to get their hands on a pair. So, I thought that it might be quite nice to film a little tutorial to show you guys how I achieved the look and how easy they are to use...
They are my new favourite thing and I’m loving experimenting with them and achieving different looks – I particularly love how they create a volumized ponytail.
Do you own a pair of these? I’d love to know how you style yours if so? And if not – good luck with the giveaway!! :D

Beauty Products I Can't Live Without!

This has to be one of my absolute favourite videos I’ve filmed. Picking out and selecting my beauty products I couldn’t live out was harder than I imagined. It turns out I’m probably a bit higher maintenance than I thought! I could’ve had double the products in there, but I tried my hardest to strip it back to basics and my day to day necessities. There’s a mixture of high to low end beauty bits so there is definitely something for everyone.
If any of your staples are the same as mine I’d love to know – and alternatively if there is anything you’ve spotted in the video that you’re thinking you’d like to try I’d love to know that too. It’s always lovely to hear when someone goes with a recommendation and sees results :)
I hope you all had a lovely weekend? My plans changed last minute and I ended up going to my nanny’s on the Friday night and stayed right through until Sunday evening. I really love spending time with her and we had a jolly time shopping, eating lots of food and watching a film at the cinema – a song for Marion, I’m warning you now if you’re a bit of a crier at films, TAKE TISSUES. I was literally in hysterics and was trying to conceal my blubbing by eating massive handfuls of popcorn. It was such a lovely film though so definitely worth a watch.
I also took a few snaps in my Nan’s garden for an outfit post coming up soon, so keep your eyes peeled for a change of scenery! Ooh Err, I know how to treat you don't I? ;)

Have a great weeks ladies (& gents) :)

GIVEAWAY | The Enrapture Jumbo Waver!

Enrapture is fast becoming my favourite go-to heat styling company, my totem styler has seen my ghds are made redundant at the back of my drawers; and today I have another one of their exciting tools to introduce to you.
You know when you sometimes fancy looking like a mermaid and plait your hair the night before you go to sleep, with the hope that you’ll wake up with lightly crimped hair? Yeah – mine never looks good when I do that, it’s always a massive frizz ball and I end up putting it into a bun. Enrapture have created something so absolutely amazing I couldn’t wait to share it with you…

Before...
After...
The Jumbo Waver: Not only does it create instant volume – (the large plates can’t help but to lift up and out!) it only took me 10 minutes to style my entire head of hair. Soft, gentle, giant waves - I think I actually prefer this look to curls now!
With regards to using this it’s so simple – it has a temperature control to determine how much heat you want to apply to the hair. For example, if you have really fine hair you probably wouldn’t need them to be on full temperature to achieve the desired look. You may be able to tell from the pictures that this is quite a large tool (no, I’m not being naughty!) but don’t let that put you off – it’s lightweight and it doesn’t feel at all big when you’re actually styling your hair.
I styled mine from the roots right to the bottom – and with my hair length I had to move the waver down the selected hair piece 2-3 times before moving on to the next section. Of course, if you don’t want to do it right from the roots you don’t have to, I just like the bohemian volumised look that achieves.
It comes beautifully packaged – it feels very luxurious and expensive, with a heat resistant bag for travelling. As with the totem styler, the jumbo waver holds the waves all day. I went to the X-Factor tour last Saturday, I did my hair at 10am and still had my waves perfectly in place at 12am (when I went to bed!). I didn’t even use hairspray, I simply spritzed my hair with some sea salt spray, to ensure that extra ‘beachy’ look and away I went!
Enrapture aren’t the cheapest and these retail at £74.99 – but are currently on offer at Argos for £59.99. For some it might seem quite steep but I’m sure a lot of you have invested in ghds which hit the £100 mark! And I’d say this brand are definitely on par, if not better – it’s a real investment for any lady who longs to achieve long-lasting curls and in no time at all.
I thought you lovely ladies might be quite head over heels like I am with this product. So Argos have kindly offered a lucky reader the opportunity to win a hair styler too! This is a 3-part giveaway, I have 1 more special one coming up over the next couple of weeks so if you don’t win the others keep your eyes peeled for the last one! I know it’s a few to have in one go, but I wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate you and I love sharing the things I love with you!
I am using rafflecopter again – I used it  for my last few giveaways and it works perfectly. Just follow the steps below, and rafflecopter will pick 1 winner at random. The giveaway will close on 10th March and will be open worldwide.

Thank you again lovelies, and good luck!

Splash of Colour | Neon Love

Being poorly means I have little time for making an effort when I have to show my face in public. I apologise if I’m still looking a little peaky in these photo’s, but laryngitis took hold of me and wouldn’t budge for nearly two weeks! It was my little sister’s 15th birthday (god I feel old) and we all went out for lunch at a local restaurant. I had the yummiest duck salad for main and a berry frozen yoghurt for dessert – quite healthy for me! Any way I wanted to be comfy because I was still feeling a bit rubbish.
Jumper: c/o Mary Jane Fashion. Leggings: Topshop. Boots: H b Hudson of London. Bracelet: Jacey Withers
My Topshop velvet leggings I basically live in – they are the warmest most comfortable item of clothing I own and I’m gutted because they’ve completely sold out of the majority of sizes so I can’t buy myself another pair! Oversized baggy jumpers are also a staple in my winter wardrobe, you can throw them on with pretty much anything, feel cosy and still look like you’ve made an effort. I’m quite in love with this jumper to be honest – I love the neon coral and how it injects a bit of colour to a simple outfit - I think we'll be seeing a lot more of neon this season judging from London Fashion Week and I'm quite alright with that! I went for a size medium as I thought I’d prefer the larger fitting and I think it works well.
Now I'm on the road to recovery you should be seeing a few more outfit posts pop up here and there!
I hope you're all having a good week any way :) Daniel had an operation today, so I've been chilling with him and watching documentaries! (we're not geeks - promise)...

Blogger Buttons, Business Cards & More! | The Wonderful Zoe Newlove

Design...I’d say it’s something I have an eye for but when it comes to computers, HTML coding or actually drawing something – I suck. I have zero patience when it comes to teaching myself things – if I can’t do it the first time I instantly give up. When I was younger I always wished I could draw, paint, express my creativity;  I think perhaps if I’d pushed myself a bit harder at school I may have been able to pick it up but never mind!

This is where I am completely and utterly grateful for lovely fellow bloggers out there, with a hell of a lot of design experience. And there is one particular lady whom I swear by – not only are her designs top notch, her prices affordable but she is actually the nicest person and someone I would like to class a friend. Miss Zoe Newlove.

I’d wanted to put some blog ‘business cards’ together simply to send out with my little handmade pouches or should I attend any blogging events to give out to people (much easier than relying on someone to remember your name!). I sent out a little tweet and Zoe replied saying she’d be more than happy to help me. I explained what I was looking for and 2 drafts later I had my cards ready to order.

I also wanted a blogger button to match - I like to be matchy-matchy haha. I literally said to Zoe, I want my business cards, in a button format. Here are the results...

I'm so happy with them both - and can't thank Zoe enough! Her rates are so reasonable given the quality she provides; with the lowest offer at £5 for a post signature to the highest at £50 for a complete blog design - anyone who chooses to use her is getting a completely wonderful service at such a great price. And you're not just paying for the
If you want to have a nose at all the other design services she offers, you can do so here. I'm thinking about investing in some of her YouTube intro/outro graphics too!

Thank you lovely- you're awesome :). Has anyone else had the pleasure to work with Zoe on their blog? I'd love to see the results!

Oh and did I mention she's a make up artist too? (I know, she's wonder woman right) So if you fancy a makeover or even to learn a little bit more about 'how-to' with some private tuition...have a look here!

LUSH Sweet Lips Lip Scrub | Wonderful You Review

I am new to the LUSH bandwagon. I must admit, I'd never been overly intrigued to step inside a store due to the overpowering scent, and because of that I've not really been fussed about reading other bloggers posts about it. Sometimes I could really smack myself at how stubborn I am - because I finally stepped in and I'm so glad I did.
My best friends mum had told me I had to visit - simply for the customer service in the store. The lady talked her through everything she wanted to know about the store and products without bombarding her (did you know everything is completely natural & organic? I expected it not to be with all the bright colours!). She helped her find exactly what she needed and then left her to it. Once she had finished shopping the store lady approached her again and said that every day, the staff were allowed to choose one shopper to give a free product to - and she wanted to give that product to her. How lovely is that? It wasn't a 'Oh, well you can only have this particular product' - no she got to pick whatever she wanted. If nothing else, I think you should pop in to receive a bit of the same. Is it just me or has customer service gone down the pan a little these days?

When I popped in I was rushing around like a madman doing the Christmas shopping, so I didn't have enough time to stop and chat, but they were all super friendly (especially as it was Christmas eve, very very busy). I wanted to try one thing that my mum's friend had mentioned to me...their Lip Scrub.

This isn't a 'brainy' product - what I mean by that is you could quite easily make something similar yourself. It's the brains behind it that I love.
This little pot of yummy has worked wonders for my dry, chapped lips. It's jam packed with castor sugar and jojoba oil to create an exfoliant for your lips that isn't too harsh but still moisturises. After one use it left mine flake free and supple enough to not even need a lip balm afterwards. If your a lipstick fan (like me) - this is the perfect product to carry around in your make up bag; whenever I want to reapply my lippy I use this beforehand and it takes all the dryness away that some lipsticks tend to leave in their colourful path!
Not only does the product leave my lips feeling awesome, you can EAT it. Yep you heard, because it's mainly sugar and no nasties you can just lick the excess product straight off your lips. I got mine in the flavour 'sweet lips' which is meant to be a chocolatey taste, I wouldn't say it tastes exactly like chocolate but it is very tasty!
It's a hefty 25g of product, which is heaps in lip-care terms (so if you fancy eating a few finger-fulls it won't make too much of a dent ;)) and at £5.25 it's certainly worth the price tag given how long it will last.

I couldn't find mine on the website (I think it might be new?), but there's a few others here

Have you tried their lip scrubs? Or do you have a must-have product from LUSH? :) (not bath bombs, I don't like them!)

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Butter | My Holy Grail Moisturiser

Moisturising I've noticed, is something a lot of you beauty folk neglect but for me it's one of the first things I do when I get out of the shower. Don't get me wrong - when I was younger I wasn't half arsed with it but I now see it as a sort of pamper session, some me time. There is nothing better in my eyes than looking after your skin and feeling slightly heavenly afterwards.

The Body Shop is infamous for it's Body Butters and I've been a convert since I hit my teens and 'discovered' beauty. If you're not familiar with them they come in this little round tub of 200ml  joy, with a creamy rich formula that soaks into the skin like a dream. There are heaps and heaps of scents to choose from, but my absolute favourite has to be the Satsuma. OH MY GOD - literally I feel frickin' fantastic whenever I apply this. Firstly if I want to eat a product it's a win and I could easily devour this entire tub. All of the body butters are heavily scented - my work colleague always comments when I've got this on! So if you prefer your moisturiser to be subtle this probably isn't for you. However I quite like feeling like a giant orange walking down the street.

Of course, it's not all about the scent - we want to know whether this actually works don't we? For a£13 price tag I would probably class it as more of a luxury product - but holy be-jesus it is worth every penny. I apply this to my entire body every night when I get out of the shower, and then again on the areas that need it most in the morning. When I have a shower again that evening I can actually feel a film of orangey protection; I have to wash the moisturiser off after having applied it nearly 24 hours ago.
I also suffer with dry elbows and patches on my arms and since I've been using this again (religiously) I haven't a dry spot in sight. I've been using it since I was 16 and I don't think I'll ever stop - it's honestly one of my holy grail products.

You can also pick some of the butters up in 50ml sizes for £5, perfect for carrying around as a hand cream!

Have you tried these before? What's your favourite scent?

NOTD | Rimmel I heart Lasting Finish - Tangy Tangerine | Wonderful You Review

c/o Semichem
Today is just a quick and easy 'nail of the day' post. I am writing this from my sick bed (ahem, dedication right there). Typically my immune system is pretty shoddy - but it seems to have taken a real hit this time. I have the most hideous chest infection which makes me sounds like a teenage boy hitting puberty, my entire body aches and I have conjunctivitis. Truly I am such a pretty sight at the moment (hence the face free blog post haha). Off to the doctor's this evening for some harder drugs ;)

Enough about me! Let's talk about this fruity little number... Rimmel's I <3 Lasting Finish #705 in Tangy Tangerine (*gasps* Jeez, rimmel like their hefty product names dont't they!) - I'm quite partial to a spot of orange lippy but I've never really been one for bright nails (think more deep plums or golds) - but when I spotted this bad boy I couldn't resist. I'm not one for fiddly nail art, so plain and simple is pretty much a given with my nails - however I think this colour does the talking perfectly on it's own.
This collection hosts a range of gorgeous colours from Double decker red to Pear drop. It promises to be hard wearing and chip resistant and I have to say I was really impressed. I am ridiculously heavy handed and seem to smack my nails against anything I possibly can - I usually chip my nail varnish within a couple of hours. But no no, good old tangy tangerine took 4 days to start wearing down (approx 10 days on any normal person!). I applied two coats to achieve this finish - the brush fans out beautifully hitting the majority of your nail with one swipe. And my very favourite thing is that it's only 8ml, personally I never get through a giant bottle of polish so prefer the dinkier sizes, and it's only £2.99 (baaaargain).
I just love love, love it and shall definitely be sporting this little baby in to the spring.

Do you have any shades from this collection? What's your favourite? If you wan't to pick a couple up, they have the 3 for 2 across all Rimmel products in boots!

Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser | Wonderful You Review

My skincare history is just like my personality – a drama queen, completely over the top. Before I even touched Clinique my routine was extremely basic – it just involved Cleansing, toning and moisturising with the brand Simple. When I got older and my skin broke out I moved over to Clinique, and when I discovered that wasn't at all appropriate I moved over to NUDE. For a long while their combination of cleansing and moisturising with a facial serum every few days worked wonders for my skin, the breakouts were minimal and my complexion as a whole was much clearer and even. If you’ve been reading for a while you’ll probably have seen the post I wrote about it . Now don’t get me wrong, I still swear by NUDE for my skin type, it really is an incredible brand and the serum and moisturiser are something I swear by. Unfortunately, my skin seems to have fought back and decided it doesn’t want me to use the cleanser anymore. My spots were coming back fast, fierce and painful – at first I thought it might be stress (this was just around Christmas time, and I had a lot going on prior to Australia), so I waited until I was away in the sun and when that didn’t even slightly help with clearing it up I started to panic. I was going to be in Australia for a month, and my skin looked horrific – not only that but when you have a tan none of your foundation matches, so I couldn't even cover up!

In Australia we were staying with Daniel’s family and for a few years his younger cousin had suffered with acne. He was now on medication as nothing had worked well for him – but luckily his Aunty had kept over some facial washes that he had used prior to his new prescription. I was willing to try anything (remember, I am a drama queen) so I jumped at the chance when she mentioned it!
Cetaphil is a soap free gentle foam cleanser – aimed at oily skin (although they do cater for all skin types), this particular one is aimed at problematic oily skin. If you find you have overly oily skin it’s more than likely down to your body producing too much sebum (this is released through your sebaceous glands, and is used to keep the skin supple). Although no face washes will completely get rid of this (I’m pretty sure it’s a hormonal thing that can only be combated by medication) – Cetaphil promises to reduce the amount of sebum your skin produces by up to 60% after using for over two weeks, twice a day (I was already converted by this point). Being soap-free it is also less harsh on your face, it doesn't leave the face feeling too tight and the skin is still lovely and soft – no dry patches.

It’s the first facial wash that has worked effectively enough for me to take my make up off with it. One pump lathers softly and removes make up, excess dirt and cleanses the entire face. It's a clear gel like solution (doesn't photography particularly well) and bubbles up extremely gently - not at all frothy or soapy. I use it again in the morning, but only need half a pump as I make it a rule NEVER to sleep in my make up! Being a 500ml bottle, it’s going to last me yonks. I used it every day for 3 weeks in Australia and it hasn’t even made a dent. Being an Australian brand, it’s not as readily available in the UK. However I know you can get it from both Boots and . It cost me $15 when I was over there, and my little sister spent just over £15 on it through Amazon a few weeks ago. So it’s not breaking the bank by any means.

My skin for the entirety of the holiday up until now, has been incredibly good. I will have the occasional spot but nothing compared to the massive breakout I had at Christmas. For example, today I am wearing just concealer under my eyes and over a few blemishes. No foundation. I know – say whaaaaat?! I just feel more comfortable with my skin and letting it breathe every now and then. Don’t get me wrong I’m still using my foundation every day usually; I was just giving you an insight into how much better it’s made me feel.

I’ve come to the conclusion that perhaps my skin will always be this way. I’ll find a skincare product that works really well for my skin for up to say a year, and then my skin will become accustomed to it and reject it. However I do know that I can’t just use any product I fancy without doing some serious research first – my skin flares up at anything that is too heavy, highly scented or overly moisturising. Which is why I know that when I do find something that works for me for a while – it’s something worth shouting about.

I hope you found this post helpful – apologies if it’s a bit rambly! But I wanted to explain it properly for you :)

I'm starting to believe that less is definitely more when it comes to skincare. So I'll probably be writing about my 'Day & Night' routine soon - is that something you would like to see?

Elemis Fresh Skin Range | Wonderful You Review

Hello my lovelies :) Hope you're all well, and excited for the weekend? I'm still feeling very poorly, but I'm off to the X-Factor tour tomorrow night. Bear with me whilst I compose myself at the fact JAMES ARTHUR will be serenading me - major effin' boy crush right there. What is it with a boy that can sing, eh?
Asides from my eagerness for tomorrow the reason for this post is because I was recently contacted by the wonderful people of Elemis. This brand is one that I see as more 'high-end' and luxurious, so I was eager to try some of their skincare range out...

First things first, I just love the packaging – subtle and pretty, something that looks nice on your bathroom shelf but isn’t screaming look at me I’m the most outrageous packaging you’ve ever seen.
Secondly foaming facial washes are one of my favourite’s - I don’t get along with balm or cream cleansers, something about them makes my skin flare up. Now, I already have a firm favourite facial wash, that helps me control my breakouts (post coming soon) which I use in the evening before bed, but I’ve been using this Peachy Perfect facial wash each morning. It’s subtle peach scent and light consistency is very refreshing and definitely helps to wake me up (in another life, I am a sloth). It lathers really well, so you don’t need to use too much product in one hit and the pump applicator makes that even easier.
For £12.00 it’s up there with the affordable skincare products and being Elemis, the price is pleasantly surprising. My skin type is combination/oily and it definitely helps to control my oil breakouts midday, as well as keep my skin hydrated and not too tight. If you have sensitive skin, this may be a touch too harsh for you although it doesn’t leave mine gasping for moisturiser.

Tired Eyes - Soothing Eye Rescue £15.00 15ml
I think you all probably know by now but I am a true believer in a jolly good eye cream. You must must must make the effort to look after your little eyes; after all they’re one of the first to show signs of ageing…crow feet and all that. I love that this is a 15ml product; it means I can pop it in my handbag and carry it around with me for on the go refreshers. Now on first application of this I was a little bit dubious, it’s a gel so obviously has a different effect to a cream but I did find this quite sticky whilst it was drying/soaking into my skin. Luckily I don’t suffer with puffy eyes (which this promises to combat) however, it definitely cooled and hydrated my eyes which is definitely something I look for in on-the-move products.

Softly Softly - Daily Moisturiser: £20 50ml
Again, loving the pump applicator. On first application I instantly thought of Liz Earle's moisturiser. It had a very similar scent and the consistency is quite heavy. My skin is quite problematic, and I'm not sure that this moisturiser is right for my skin type. I am prone to breakouts, with a very oily t-zone. This product takes quite a long time to sink into the skin - I'd have to say that I would probably only use this as a night time moisturiser in winter, when my skin is exceptionally dry. On a positive note, my skin definitely looks brighter when wearing this which is always a plus :)

First up the Quenching Face Mask...now my face doesn't really need 'quenching' it's already pretty drenched in oil (how gross does that sound), so I knew that trying this out would cause a breakout on my skin type. It was a very light mask, more like a really really heavy moisturiser, so if you're suffering with terribly dry skin and want something to bring some hydration back I think this could work quite well. I must admit though, I'd probably prefer a heavier moisturiser to apply before bed. After washing it off my skin did feel very smooth, but being oily and spot prone my face wasn't very happy the next day.
The Deep Clean Purifying Mask on the other hand was right up my street. As with most clay masks you leave it on for approx 10 minutes, or until it's dry. It was instantly cooling which was lovely, and after washing it off my skin felt squeaky clean - literally it felt like it had ripped the rubbish-ness right out. Definitely a keeper.

Overall, I feel like I've discovered some really yummy, affordable products to add to my skincare routine - even if I wasn't blow away by it all!
What do you think - have you tried anything from the Elemis Fresh Skin Range?

My Make Up Storage | Organised Chaos

One of my favourite posts to read at the moment is the beauty blogger's 'Make Up Storage'. It's been floating around for a while now and to be honest, I'd never thought mine would be of any interest. Simply because it's pretty messy in comparison to everyone else's. But after I'd read a handful of posts with acrylic drawer boxes I'd got a little bit fed up, and that's when I thought - hmm perhaps my way of doing things might give a little something different! That's not to say that I don't like acrylic storage boxes - I'm just WAY too messy to make them look as good as they should.
And then when I saw Leanne's post from Leanne-Marie on alternative storage it tipped me over the edge. I will share my 'alternative' messy ways with you! Haha.

Daily make up:
My day to day make-up keeps itself to itself. I like to be able to just pick it up first thing in the morning and not have to worry where anything is and just get it over and done with (I am not a morning person). So it's situated on my little coffee table, on a plate, with a deer - as you do.

The rest of it:
The remainder of my make up that I use on a semi-regular basis, i.e. nights out or a little extra for weekends is stored in a  little carry case I picked up from a local vintage store for £5. It's perfect really, because it fastens at the front I can throw all the make-up above into it, combined with the extras and take it away with me, and it also looks quite pretty just sat on my table!
Lipstick:
My lippy's are all stored in this little metal tin - again something from a vintage shop that cost next to nothing. Because I am addicted to my lipsticks I know what I have and I'm not overly bothered about being able to see every single one lined up next to each other. I quite like the unkempt-ness of it all.
I also have a bag of make up that hardly ever gets used, but is there for emergency situations (i.e. never, but I can't get rid because I'm a hoarder). I wont show you that, because it' s literally just a bag of not so great make up!

I hope you enjoyed this post - and seeing a bit more into my organised chaos of make up :) It's quite simple really, which is how I like things.
If you'd like to see a post similar to this on my jewellery or nail varnishes please let me know!

I officially have the flu and am writing this from my bed, feeling utterly sorry for myself with a beechams hot berry drink (making the best of a bad situation) and some flapjacks. I ate half a bag of oranges yesterday...I'm not sure that was quite a good idea!! I hope you're all well though and looking forward to the weekend :)

Bibs 'n' Bobs | A touch of Bunting Baby

You lot know how much I love to discover new upcoming quirky shops with something a little bit different to offer. Well a dear family friend of mine has recently taken the plunge and started her own little company to that exact description.

spend their time crafting beautiful handmade creations aimed predominately at mummy’s or friends and family of mummy’s & babies - however if you don’t fit that category quite yet don’t click away, this little slice of homemade heaven caters for pretty much everyone.

From handmade bibs, to bunting, pillows and aprons you’re guaranteed to find the perfect gift or treat for yourself/your baby. Everything is made to order and personalisation is what makes this shop so special. Being a little older (although some might say I require a bib, I’m constantly missing my mouth), Bibs ‘n’ Bobs kindly sent me over this gorgeous bunting to share with you lovelies...

Absolutely perfect for a garden party, celebrating a birthday or to just simply hang up in your bedroom (aka what I’m doing!). Of course, if you're not looking for something personalised you can choose anything from their all items are labelled up with prices and sizes/age groups.
I love the vintage feel of mine, it fits in perfectly with my bedroom and I particularly love it against my fairy lights on my bed post :)

If this little shop tickles your pickle just select a theme from the samples shown on their facebook page and send them your chosen name via their page! Each triangular flag measures 17cm x 17cm (approx) and bunting will be supplied with tie ends of 35cm each. All Personal bunting is £15.00 for up to a six letter name, then £1.00 for every additional letter. e.g AVA = £15.00 CHARLIE (£15.00 + £1.00) = £16.00
I’m definitely going to be placing a few orders with them for friends and family, it’s such a lovely idea :)

What do you think? Is bunting up your street? :)

Not on the High Street | The Perfect Valentine's Card

Valentine’s Day – for some it’s a time to celebrate your relationship with your partner, for others it’s a time to moan about the fact there shouldn't need to be a specific day to celebrate & for the singletons it’s a time to get merry with your best single friend and love one another!

Whether you like Valentine’s Day or not, it’s quite nice finding a little shop that does the perfect card for any occasion eh? I’m not going to lie – this post is 100% dedicated to the ‘Valentine’s’ section, but I promise, even if you hate this particular day of the year you’ll find some fantastic things on this site.

I’m a little bit done with Moonpig – I mean yeah it’s great to be able to add photo’s to a card and make it a touch more personal, but to be honest I don’t find that their cards have much pizzazz or personality. Not on the High Street has been one of my go-to shops for a long time. Not just for cards, their little quirky personalised gifts are right up my street (get it?) from Birthday’s to Wedding's they have everything you could need under one roof.
I thought you might quite like to see my favourite picks from their Valentine's Section...
(Images from Not on the High Street, edited by me) L-R: You’ll Do Nicely, I only have eyes for you, I love your face, It all began, Kissing couple, Perfect together, Days I've loved you, Couple card, A true love story.

They're all quite simplistic and similar in design, but I much prefer subtlety over gushing love poems - just personal preference :) - of course if you wan't smooshy love stuff they have that too! I usually alternate each year - either making a card myself or purchasing one. This year is the turn for purchasing! Can you guess which one I chose from the above?

So what do you think of NOTHS - have you heard of them before? And what does Valentine's mean to you?

Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover | Wonderful You Review

For some of you, this post might not be at all interesting. This little product has been making it’s way around the beauty blogosphere for the past year like no tomorrow and I’m finally reviewing it.
Personally, ‘doing’ my nails is an absolute chore - I hate painting them, because I am messy and have no patience and I absolutely detest removing nail varnish. Sometimes I’ll even be naughty and just peel it off because I can’t be bothered to get the cotton wool and remover out (am I the worst beauty blogger ever?).
My lovely Aunty is constantly on the lookout for new beauty products for me to try, test and review on here for you guys. And we were both far too excited when she got her hands on this baby in Boots (it had been out of stock for god knows how long).
If you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t seen/heard about this, it’s basically a nail polish remover that claims to take off your nail varnish in one second. You simply pop your finger in the top and when you take it out, the polish is gone!
First off I was genuinely more excited to do my nails, simply so I could take my nail varnish off. If nothing else this product is fantastic purely for the fact that there is no sticky cotton wool or spillages of potent remover.

The product itself, to me is incredible. Okay so they’re totally lying when they say it removes the polish in ONE SECOND, I’m sorry but very little in this life happens in one second let alone stubborn nail polish! I would say you have to hold your finger in there for a few seconds and then twist the bottle round your finger once to sweep the polish away. And honestly, the polish is gone (does that make anyone else think of the Cillit Bang advert?). I’m not going to tell fibs and say that it removes glitter polish as well as regular polish, but it still does the job it just takes a little longer. However on your typical run of the mill nail varnish it 100% halves the time it would usually take.
For £4.99 I wouldn’t consider this product high-end or too expensive, I definitely think it’s affordable and I’ve had mine for a few months now and it’s still going strong so it’s not an expensive product to add to the ‘necessities’ list of beauty!
It’s a must have for me and I don’t think I’ll ever be returning back to the cotton wool routine (sorrynotsorry).
I would love to know what you lovely lot think about this – have you tried it before? Or do you think you’d like to?
If you want to pick it up from your local Boots, you can do so here
