To Fringe or Not to Fringe? That is the Question..

Back in 2008 I saw myself rocking a full on fringe. I popped into my hairdressers and said do something completely different - I'm bored, so he cut it in...when he span me round to show me my hair in the mirror at the end, I cried. I absolutely hated it, it made my face look so different and I just didn't like it whatsoever. After sobbing for a few days I realised perhaps I was being a drama queen (no, really?? that's not like you Megs), and really I quite liked it. Well, it stayed on my head that way for a few years and I ended up loving it.

Nearly 5 years later I'm finding myself getting bored of my hairstyle (I know, me and every other girl) and thought...hmm perhaps my fringe needs to make a comeback? I thought I'd show you guys a few pictures of me back then to help aid your decision (because of course, you're making it for me)...

You can probably tell from the piccies that the fringe is styled to shape my face and has quite a lot of feathering going on. I'm thinking that I'd quite like to go for a more blunt cut and keep my layers long - like the look the beaut Carly Rae Jepson is currently rocking (p.s. she's totally stolen my hair colour).

So...what do you all think? Shall I go all out and rekindle this long lost love with my fringe?

Hahah I ALWAYS do that, cry and then after a few days think... aw.. it's not so bad.
After you style it yourself too it's always better.
Fringes are more maintenance which is annoying but I think you really suit both! Go for it! x

Haha Rachael - it's always the way isn't it! But I agree, when you can get home and wash it and style it it's so much better! Think I'm going to bite the bullet and go for it! x

Definitely go for the Carly Rae Jepsen fringe! I have had an on and off full fringe to side fringe for about 2 years now and I always always end up cutting my fringe so that it's blunt! Just go for it! x

Love the bottom picture but I've just had a side fringe cut in and totally regret it! As soon as I had it done I wanted it back to how it was. Now I'm constantly pinning it back!

    Good luck with your decission!!!

You do suit a fringe I say go for it you'll continue to be bored with your hair! I always get a fringe in when I'm bored of mine (granted I get bored of that after a few months). I randomly get told I look like Carly Rae Jepson when I have my fringe! Just be ready to deal with the years of growing it out if you get bored of having one I'm a few months into growing mine out and tempted to get it cut back in just to make it look neat again xx

I'm currently experiencing the same dilemma! I'm bored of my hair... and last time two times this has involved me either dying it a completely different colour, or chopping it off to just above my shoulders (I quite literally took the scissors to it myself, whoopsy!)
I've been toying with getting my fringe back but I know there was a reason I decided to grow it out in the first place..and it was a lot more maintenance, which lets face it - I'm too lazy for! This comment is of no help to your question, I'm not going to try to help as my indecisive nature is not going to come to any sensible conclusion! xxx

Go for it Megs! It's just hair at the end of the day and you can soon grow it out again. I think a blunt cut fringe would look gorgeous on you :)

Do it! I would LOVE to have a fringe if my hair was the right kind of texture to make it possible. After all, if you get bored of it you can pin it until it's grown out enough. It's only hair - get cutting! x :) Flora
