Black Crop Top: Bank Fashion*. Animal Print Trousers: Bank Fashion*. Belt: Vintage. Boots: TK Maxx. Lipstick: Topshop Infrared. |
After the positive response to my first Christmas Party inspiration post I thought it would be rude to not throw another one in the mix. Let’s jump to the completely opposite end of the xmas outfit spectrum – just because it’s Christmas doesn’t necessarily mean you have to be in festive colours, it’s all about feeling comfortable and obviously black and white means I’m right at home!
These trousers are divine – not only is the print something rather whacky (and makes me feel a little bit like something you’d find in Rihanna’s wardrobe), but they are ultimate comfort. There’s nothing better on a night out than feeling completely at ease in what you’re wearing and the loose fit means you can stuff yourself with as many mince pies as you fancy and combined with the silky fabric, you could quite easily be wearing your pyjama’s (which quite dangerously does make me feel rather sleepy). Now, when one is going baggy on the bottoms, one must (more often than not) go tight(y) on the top. I love how this top fits so perfectly with the trousers, showing the teensiest bit of midriff but the long sleeves keep it classy and pretty. The lace back and arms take it from casual to dressy and it fits so snugly that it’s bound to keep you warm when the winter chill hits.
And when one is wearing a top that shows a bit of back cleavage (is that even a thing?) it's important to make sure you've still got the support you need in the chest area, ahem. I can find shopping for bras a bit of a chore, especially when it comes to strapless ones. Not being the most confident in that area, I would rarely risk it without a bra and stick on ones aren't always practical - I had an awful mishap one New Years eve with a stick on bra that came un-stuck (eep), I spent the entire evening clutching my chest! The Freya - Deco Strapless Bra from Blossom Lingerie is my absolute fave and has a fantastic hold whilst being seam free so it's not going to show through on tight fitting clothes - winner. It goes without saying how much of a staple a strapless black bra can be!

I’ve never been one for stiletto’s so my trusty TK Maxx booties always make an appearance, ultimate comfort and a sprinkle of velvet opt for the perfect match when it comes to a night on the tiles.
