Reading: my passion for it was birthed way before this blog existed and it's certainly the place I take most inspiration from.
When I was at school, words didn't come easily - English wasn't my strongest subject and story writing made my brain hurt. It frustrated me because I wanted to be good at it. Then, at around the age of 15 something switched - I was thirsty for books, desperate for the words to quench my brain with love and hope and knowledge.

It ignited something in me. When I feel sad, I read. When I feel relaxed, I read. When I feel content, I read. It's just become a part of my life, a habit. Something for me. I'll get through a book within a day and I'll instantly crave the next one - it makes me happy.

Last year, when my blog started to get a little busier I found myself having less spare time - instead of picking up a book, I'd be snapping away at outfit posts or writing my latest update; we fell out of love as it were. But recently I've realised I need to make more time for the things I love, because without reading, I wouldn't have this blog and ultimately, the two go hand in hand. It can be hard to balance my blog with other passions but we all need to take a step back sometimes and re-evaluate - blogging is my hobby, reading is my release: my passion.

Book shops are one of my favourite places in the world. The quiet, the calm, the unspoken understanding of each individual who steps inside. There's no judging here. I can spend hours, roaming the aisles, perching myself in a cosy corner and just shutting out the rest of the world for a while. This particular little haven is situated in the heart of Saffron Walden - probably one of the most perfect towns in the world. And what better way to spend a Saturday afternoon?

The Live in Levi's® project invites everyone the world over to contribute their own real-life Levi's® story using the hashtag #LiveInLevis. This could be an image, or series of images that says it all or a post that gives a bit more depth. See what other people have shared at www.levi.com/liveinlevis

Beautiful photos! I, too, fell out of love with reading after studying English Literature at university. It really did suck all the fun out of it. I'm slowly getting back into the habit now though :) xx

Love this!! Reading this post made me remember too how much reading means to me. Similar things have been going on in my life: being out and about and shooting for the blog, going to school, working, etc. Life just gets so full!! However, books are a part of what made me the outgoing person I am today. It's incredible what written words can do!

Bookshops are a real haven, and I would say that that's what my ideal heaven would look like. They're peaceful, quiet, and just waiting for you to explore. I even find Waterstones lovely, even though it's more of a chain! Reading is good for the soul - I've always had my nose in a book and I walways will do. I'm so glad you're going to start taking time out with a novel!

And, as per usual, you look bloody gorgeous and have impeccable style! One day I'm going to invest in a pair of levis!
