Last Thursday was a pretty manic, but exciting day for me. I spent my time hopping around London on various different blogger events and shoots – scary stuff but somehow, I think I managed it!
First stop and what I’ll be talking about today was the stunning McQueens Florist for Lola and Grace’s #makethemoment event. It was literally the most beautiful setting for a launch and being greeted with a cucumber and elderflower fizz, breakfast bites and a room full of wonderful people was simply lovely.
Lola and Grace were launching their stunning SS14 collection of jewellery (you MUST check it out) and I was invited, along with 10 other wonderful bloggers, to take a sneak peek. Draped over the gorgeous flower arrangements glistened their pretty new pieces, such a fab idea!
Alongside their launch they’ve also created a pretty awesome campaign, where members of the public i.e. you and I, take a snap of our outfit, share it on instagram using the hashtag #makethemoment and how your outfit makes you feel (again using a hashtag, like #chic!) – you’re then automatically entered in to a competition to win a trip to Berlin Fashion Week! Yeah, I know – pretty fabulous. There are also random draws on a daily basis for people to win online vouchers, so everyone’s happy!
So...Lola and Grace asked us bloggers if we wouldn’t mind being the faces of the campaign which is pretty cool, non? Of course I said yes and after having a look around the new collection we got down to business.
The stunning Robyn Kotze (Stylist for InStyle Magazine – urr HELLO!) was on hand with a rack of designer jackets and hats to build on what we were already wearing. I’d gone quite neutral with a plain grey basic top and new Zara trouser leggings so Robyn popped on an amazingly chic jacket (that I need in my life) and vintage fedora. We then had a good look through the Lola and Grace jewellery collection to add a lil’ summin’ summin’ to the outfit. I loved the chunky chain necklaces in contrast to the dainty sparkle bracelet and the rings also give a mix of classic and glam.
I was then tasked to come up with a hashtag for how I was feeling...and with a little inspiration from Robyn we decided on #ParisianGlam..what do you think?!
I then stepped out on the streets of London for a quick photo shoot and some filming. To say I was pooing my pants would’ve been an understatement...I’ve never had my photo’s taken out in public by anyone other than my tripod, or occasionally my little sister and even then it’s in a quiet, secluded village – so I was certainly nervous. The chaps taking the shots were super amazing though and made me feel completely at ease.
I’d love to know what you think of the look we put together? Also, please let me know if you enter the competition – I certainly will be!

Thanks Lola and Grace - for putting on such a fabulous, together event and for thinking to ask me to be a part of it. I’m so grateful <3
And here's the cheeky little video we made, if you fancy a quick nose :)
