Dress: c/o Hedonia. Shoes: Zara. Watch: Guess. Ring: Alex Monroe. Bracelet: c/o A box for my Treasure. Necklace: Vintage |
Of course this post is all about the outfit and I’m trialing this one as an option of what to wear. I don’t really ‘do’ heels and I’m not sure kitten heels are the best choice bearing in mind that this event will be in a field and with our weather it’s likely it will pour with rain – however I don’t own a pair of wedges and I would rather buy a kitchen table than a new pair of shoes at the moment (my goodness, what is happening to me).
Regardless I am so in love with this dress – it’s the perfect summer piece. The fabric/cut is quite sturdy and formal but relaxed enough to still feel fun and summery. I love the prom style dresses and the contrasting lace panels make it that little bit different. I’m hoping the sun will stay out so I can wear it to a few birthday BBQ’s! I thought I would add a few of my staple jewellery pieces along with this beautiful little bracelet from a box for my treasure - the lovely lady behind the magic, Judith uses semi-precious stones to create her beautifully nature inspired pieces. I absolutely love it :)
This dress is absolutely beautiful :) you look gorgeous! Xxx
ReplyThis is so stunning! I love the shoes so much and your hair is beauts xo

LOVE this Megs you little stunner! I need those shoes too! xx
ReplyThat dress is beautiful and those shoes are gorgeous! I've never been to a polo event so I can't really give much advice but I think your outfit looks lovely - just hope for some sunshine and not-very-muddy grass! :)

That dress is absolutely gorgeous! I love the shoes too, although they might not be the best shoes for Polo. I go a few times a year and I always recommend smart flats or smart/casual wedges, as heels (even kitten heels) tend to look a bit OTT. You don't want to get nice shoes ruined, as if you're standing on grass all day and it's wet it can be pretty messy.
ReplyPolo is fairly relaxed, most women tend to wear a pretty dress but make it look more 'daywear' and casual with less formal accessories like flats/wedges and a big handbag rather than a clutch etc. However if you're in a corporate area it may be different! Flats and wedges are easier to stomp the divots with too ;)
Hope that helps, if you have any questions please do just ask! :)
Which Polo are you going to?

ReplyI think this dress is really pretty, I love the two detailed sections as I'm quite partial to lace; it looks so elegant and feminine.
I hope you enjoyed the event :)

You look so pretty, the dress is stunning! x
ReplyI adore your dress! Though I've never been to a polo match, I'm not sure those kitten heels are the best choice (as gorgeous as they are!) I'm pretty sure that a nice pair of flats would be good for polo, so maybe try that!
ReplyLovely dress! I'm off to the Polo this weekend and have NO idea what to wear!! :(
ReplyAhhh! You make me want to dye my hair red.. Kinda random lol. You look stunnnning btw
ReplyLove your hair, this colour suits you perfectly. You're gorgeous. Just discovered your blog and you're going to see me here many more times!

You look lovely, I love the shoes but maybe a smart flat would be better in case you end up sinking in to the mud (it's happened to me before.) the dress is gorgeous too.

This dress is gorgeous! It reminds me of a vintage inspired night dress I bought earlier this week (which you could totally brave and wear in the day too!). Pale pastel blue and lace is such a great look - love your style :)
