I just wanted to take today’s post to say thank you. I’ve been moaning a fair bit recently and even though I try my best to stay positive on my social platforms sometimes you just can't force a smile - you have that need to say: 'Hey, I'm feeling crap' so people understand you’re not just a poo-head that doesn’t care. I’m not going to go in to why I have been feeling rubbish because, well it’s just not something I’m ready or want to talk about.
All I know is that sometimes we just find ourselves in a dark place, where we’d rather go for a walk alone, listening to sad music in our headphones that make us feel even more sorry for ourselves and just have a (big) cry *insert Bridget Jones clip here* And I think that sometimes, that’s okay. We need that release and it’s important to help us feel human.
But what’s also important is to be thankful and remember the positive side to every dark situation. It may sound completely ludicrous, but throughout this low point, I’ve had you. You’ve been there supporting me, knowingly or not, every comment, every tweet, every ‘like’, every share makes the hurt a little less. Unless you write a blog it may be hard to understand, but the support through this community is like nothing else I’ve ever experienced. I wish that I could collect you all in to one HUGE person and squeeze you all so tight, because you give me strength.
My blog is what I turn to, to remember that I’m not rubbish. Actually, I’m quite awesome thank you very much. I run this little blog by myself and put so much hard work in to it that at times it can feel like a full-time job in itself. But it’s totally worth it for the emotional reward that it brings.
So thank you, thank you, thank you. For being there, for being absolutely ace in every way and for being my silver lining. You are more amazing than you could know.
and Thank you for having such a lovely blog that puts a smile on my face when I read it :) Hope your ok lovely. I have been feeling a bit like this over the past few weeks because of a number of different things, you know where I am if you want a moan :) xxxx
Reply:) So nice to see you are keeping your chin up. Take care

Hey Megs, I'm quite new to your blog, but I must say I really appreciate the effort you put in your blog and share with us readers & fellow bloggers! :) I think it's really brave of you to tell others that 'Hey, I'm feeling crap' - that takes a lot of courage sometimes! There surely are times when we don't feel great and everything seems to go wrong, but don't worry, 'cause this too shall pass. :) Take care!

Pretty awesome you are indeed! I have loved scrolling through your blog and, although I'm sure you get told this a lot, I absolutely love your sense of style (and your hair omg!), determination to be positive but also your ability to admit that it's ok to be down. You are a fab role model for so many of your readers and I hope I don't sound tooooo soppy saying this, but your words mean a lot to so many people :) *internet high-five!*

Hi megs you have any amazing blog and youtube channel. Some days we feel great and other days we feel like rubbish but a quote which i have heard in the past is this "our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall". xxxx
ReplyDefinitely awesome and don't you forget it, and your right sometimes you can't force a smile but we should even have to so don't worry about it :)
ReplyI hope things brighten up soon :)

You seem like a gorgeous person inside and out. The dark times will pass and it's good that you can see the light through that darkness. You are not alone in that sense either. X
ReplyAww chin up megs, you are beautiful inside and out, I can tell that without even having met you.
ReplyWe all have these poo moments in time, you've just got to surround yourself with the people that make it more bearable.
If in doubt I always just think of Dory.. Just keep swimming :)

All I want to say is that I like you. a lot in fact, obviously not as much as Daniel. But I do. You're a pretty cool bean, totally HOT and fun to be around. And I'm not a stalker. Nope, I'm just a cute girl who wants to see her red head singing friend smile. xxxxx

I'm sorry to hear you've been feeling down Megs. You're right - we all get like that. I seem to get like it every fortnight or so at the moment and it's not fun - you start to feel rubbish about everything and I find that I am no longer appreciating things I should feel lucky to have. So I do understand how you feel.
ReplyYou're right though, you always have your readers, followers and viewers! We all love you and your work and, if it's any consolation, your blogging and vlogging have been on top form recently! Plus, if it brings a smile to your face, I'm going to admit that I adore your writing. You're so pretty and charismatic and your posts are always the ones I click on to read first. Not meaning to sound creepy, but you're pretty much my favourite blogger, so I hope that makes your afternoon slightly better! (Though it is Valentines Day so I'm sure you're getting plenty of love).
Keep blogging and smiling and being your usual lovely self. You're never alone :)
